Discover how Lollipop Collective unites artisans across Australia, supporting local businesses through collaborative boutique markets. How It All Began We’re Mel (left) & Bianca (right), best friends since high school, now mums to seven kids between us, and the duo behind Lollipop Collective. But before any of this, we were just two mums-to-be, strolling through Lollipop Markets while pregnant with our first babies, Zac & Siarna. The markets felt magical - a one stop shop for everything baby and we instantly fell in love with the concept. So, when the opportunity came to take over in 2018, we jumped in with both feet, eager to nurture the community we’d grown to adore. But as every small business owner knows, the road isn’t always smooth. When COVID-19 hit, everything paused markets, events, and livelihoods. Like so many of our incredible stallholders, we felt the weight of uncertainty. But instead of giving up, we pivoted. First came online markets, our first Collective concept, then the bold idea to open a Pop-Up Shop at Westfield Marion. It was meant to be temporary, a two-month solution to keep us going. Little did we know, that little shop would thrive for nearly four years and spark something much bigger. In 2021, we opened a second location at our now Collective concept at Westfield West Lakes. From there, things took off! Now, with 11 Collective locations (and counting!) across South Australia, Victoria, Queensland, New South Wales, and now in Western Australia - we’re humbled and proud of how far we’ve come. Our heart has always been the same: to connect small businesses, showcase their beautiful products, and create spaces where communities can come together. Thank you for being part of our story.
